That’s Your Cue – Privacy Policy

That’s Your Cue (“TYC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the That’s Your Cue mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.

By using TYC, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Eligibility

TYC is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that a user under 18 has created an account, we will remove the account and associated data.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Date of birth (for age verification)

  • Gender

  • Profile photo(s)

  • Interest tags and profile details

  • Optional profile attributes such as race or ethnicity (if provided by the user)

  • A unique user identifier associated with your account

B. Location Information

TYC uses location services to enable proximity-based Discovery features.

  • Location is used to determine whether users are within range of one another.

  • Exact map coordinates are not shared with other users.

  • Only general proximity is used to determine visibility.

  • Precise location coordinates may be securely stored on our servers to support real-time proximity and cue functionality.

Location updates may occur:

  • While the app is open and Discovery is active.

  • Periodically in the background (for certain users) to support visibility and cue functionality.

You may disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.

C. Cue Activity & Messaging

To support app functionality and maintain platform safety, we may store:

  • Sender ID

  • Recipient ID

  • Date and time of the cue

  • Approximate proximity data used at the time

  • In-app messages exchanged between users

In-app messages may be retained for functionality, moderation, and abuse-prevention purposes.

For safety, moderation, and compliance, we maintain limited activity logs. These records are retained solely for safety, compliance, and investigative purposes.

D. User Reports

Users may report other users for conduct concerns.

Reports submitted through the App may include:

  • The reporting user’s ID

  • The reported user’s ID

  • Submitted notes or context

  • Related cue or messaging activity

Report records may be retained for safety, moderation, legal compliance, and investigative purposes.

E. Subscription Information

Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store.

  • We do not collect or store payment card information.

  • Billing and payment processing are handled by Apple.

  • We may store subscription status (active/inactive) for account access and entitlement purposes.

F. Usage & Device Information

We may collect limited technical information such as:

  • Device type

  • Operating system

  • App version

  • Diagnostic and crash data

  • Feature usage timestamps

This information is used to improve performance, security, and reliability.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts

  • Enable proximity-based Discovery

  • Facilitate cue-based interactions

  • Deliver messaging functionality

  • Enforce safety and conduct policies

  • Investigate reports and prevent abuse

  • Provide customer support

  • Maintain platform security

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal data to third parties.
We do not use personal data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Data Storage & Security

TYC uses secure third-party infrastructure, including Firebase, to store and manage user data.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

5. Data Sharing & Legal Compliance

We do not share personal data for advertising or marketing purposes.

We may disclose limited information if:

  • Required by law

  • Necessary to comply with valid legal process

  • Needed to investigate credible reports of illegal or dangerous conduct

  • Required to protect user safety or platform integrity

Safety logs and report records may be preserved and disclosed to law enforcement in accordance with applicable laws.

6. User-Generated Content

Profile information, photos, cues, and messages you submit may be visible to other users as part of the app’s functionality.

You are responsible for the information you choose to share.

7. Account Deletion & Data Retention

You may delete your account at any time within the App.

When you delete your account:

  • Your visible profile information is removed from Discovery.

  • Photos and preferences are deleted.

  • Subscription access is revoked.

However, limited safety-related records (such as cue logs, messaging logs, and report records) may be retained as described above for compliance, moderation, and investigative purposes.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and maintain platform safety.

8. Third-Party Services

TYC may rely on third-party service providers, including:

  • Firebase (authentication, database, and storage services)

  • Apple App Store (payments and subscription processing)

These services operate under their own privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If significant changes occur, users may be notified within the App.

Continued use of TYC after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
